Looking for Group, or LFG, is Xbox's built-in way to find other players for a specific game. Players create a post describing what they want, and others browse the feed for that game and join. Because every post is tied to a game, LFG is also where communities go to find players who are active right now.

How an LFG post works

You pick a game, write a short description, add tags such as mic required or casual, and set how many players you need. The post appears in that game's LFG feed until it fills up or expires, and interested players ask to join.

Advertising to Xbox players with LFG

Clans, Discord servers, and creators use LFG to reach players of a specific game. There are two approaches. Posting keeps your message visible in the feed. Direct messages reach the people who just created a post, and arrive as a notification.
